Lucy Gardner rode and trained a double at the Mid Devon Foxhounds point-to-point races at Blackforest Lodge. She went on to win the Restricted with Bak On Board, the horse having won his maiden at this course a fortnight ago.
David Pipe, out of luck in the first two races with Classic Masquerade who finished lame, and Leading Optimist, favourite in the men’s open, did go home having two winners, watched by his father, racehorse trainer Martin Pipe. Charlotte Stucley took the ladies’ race on her own Phoenix Phlyer and Ashley Farrant was on board Porchester Close, owned by David Johnson, to take one of the maiden races.
